Admissions Policies

Steppin’ Stone Farm is open to all at-risk teenage girls, regardless of race, color, creed or national origin. The resultant diversity, coupled with a non-proselytizing but ever-present Christian atmosphere has worked wonders. We work with families who love their daughters enough to sacrifice in order to see their daughter move forward toward Living Areasuccessful and productive lives. Because of this we have seen in-depth change in a high percentage of young ladies that have completed the minimum year program.

Tours (parents or guardians only) are scheduled over the phone at your request and are required, but not a guarantee of your daughter’s admission. We always have more prospects for admission than we have openings. We can not admit too many from the same city, or school, or with the exact same problems. Age is also a very important factor in making our decision.

We do not give medications for behavioral or emotional problems. If you feel that your child has to have these medications, then it would be appropriate to place her in a medical facility. If you want to take her off of the medication, we ask that you consult with your psychiatrist or psychologist before her arrival for placement.

If your daughter is accepted into our program, the following applies:

  • The admission date will be confirmed after receiving a $100.00 processing fee plus the month’s tuition of $1,800.00, a total of $1,900.00, which is non-refundable. (Send no money at this time.)
  • An AIDS test and physical (including pregnancy test and gynecological exam) must be completed before admission and paperwork presented prior to or upon admission.
  • Girls stay a minimum of one year, with four scheduled visits with their families.
  • Six months will be added for running away.
  • All parents involved must be in agreement, come for a tour, and sign custody papers prior to admission.
